Counselor

Description

Will provide support to members by doing weekly check-in as needed via members' preferred method of communication. Your role involves tracking data, supporting the member with planning and problem-solving issues that arise on their education journey. This role is also responsible for connecting the member to resources within the community.  

Responsibilities: 

• Discuss barriers to support them in completing their certificate program of choice 
• Discuss solutions and provide linkages to community resources 
• Provide person-centered care for members to motivate and support members in achieving their educational goals 
• Communicate with the Field Coordinators to ensure all necessary providers and supports related to the support of the member 
• Ability to build rapport and work with people of different backgrounds 
• Perform all other duties requested  

Qualifications: 

• Minimum education requirement is High School diploma 
• Knowledge within the field of case management 
• Skilled in time management, organization, and ability to problem solve
• Ability to work flexible hours
