Description |
Responsibilities
- Provide organizational development consulting on labor-management relationships, joint projects and initiatives with healthcare systems and facilities
- Assist Labor Management Consultant III provide support with Organization Development Interventions to all levels of management at facility levels, to increase opportunities for labor and management to solve problems and achieve common goals
- Support in documenting progress and results of projects to measure outcomes and assist in researching and collecting data for metrics
- Track changes/innovations in the industry and the profession; Attend LMP and other workshops and learning forums
- Participate in the development of curriculum/workshop presentations to expand the knowledge, skills and attitudes of clients
- Assist in researching, collecting data, monitoring progress and reporting out of performance outcomes and documenting progress
- Document progress and results of projects through case studies
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or equivalent years of experience required, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years training consulting or adult education experience in a labor-management environment required; to include experience in healthcare, unionized settings and knowledge of healthcare reform preferred
- Understanding of organizational relational dynamics specifically as it relates to labor and management relationship
- Mid-level mediation skills; ability to mediate simple conflicts between parties at departmental level
- Understanding of collective bargaining practices and principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the education or training field; ability to influence, motivate and lead clients, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong active listening, good self-awareness, recognizing impact on others and ability to manage boundaries
- Must have “reliable transportation” to travel to various locations
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
