As a FCS Communications Project Specialist, the role will support the FCS Communications Team to ensure all content is delivered to standard and on time. The role works directly with Head of FCS Internal Comms to support the development and execution of internal communication strategies, programs, systems, and processes.

 

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that inform, connect, and engage employees and generate meaningful conversations.
  • Manage and lead projects received by FCSteam from cross-functional teams.
  • Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and corporate communication teams to develop internal communications in advance of organizational initiatives and announcements.
  • Assist the team across the full spectrum of communications, including executive / leadership communications, , general awareness communications, Workplace posts, etc.
  • Work in a variety of communications platforms: social media, emails, video, wiki, digital signage, etc.
  • Work closely with the Communications Project Manager to support communications and additional initiatives where needed.
  • Lead the initiative to audit the communication platforms and provide strategic recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Write concise documentation including but not limited to the following: knowledge base, Wiki, processes, best practices, communications, and presentations.
  • Assist the team across the full spectrum of communications, including executive / leadership communications, crisis communications, general awareness comm.
  • Support various FCS teams on communications strategies, content development, and audience needs.
  • Identify intersection points across multiple projects and teams to maximize efforts and consolidate communication to reduce communication noise.
  • Create internal forms to collect information and kick-off internal tracking process for new project requests.
  • Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions.
  • Participate in all aspects of documentation development from project planning through project release, including but not limited to: developing, writing, editing, and publishing the content.
  • Look for operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicate areas of improvement within process to SMEs and managers.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal FCS teams and XFN disciplines to develop documentation that satisfies its intended purpose, within schedule and budget limitations.
  • Understand and apply context towards different content types, tailor content to best fit audience, and apply critical thinking to ensure that content meets standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge of other industry-standard platforms.

 

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Communications Specialist or Technical Writer.
  • Proficient in MS Suites to include Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Editorial, copywriting, and/or analytics experience.
  • 2 years of experience with CAD, HTML, and wiki a plus.
  • Tableau experience a plus.
  • Direct project and process management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications or related fields.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new technology.
  • Experience with document management and/or information architecture.
  • Direct project and process management experience; ability to accomplish assignments and responsibilities.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Creative / Graphic Design.

Estimated Pay Range:

Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
