About this Opportunity

Are you ready to step into a role where your expertise shapes the future of enterprise risk and resilience? We’re on the lookout for a sharp, proactive, and strategic thinker to join our team as our next Enterprise Risk Advisor.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work side by side with our Executive Leadership Team and risk owners, providing expert advice that empowers them to adopt cutting-edge risk management practices. You’ll be the driving force behind developing and embedding frameworks that strengthen our organisation’s risk culture, resilience, and assurance processes.

Your day-to-day will include monitoring/reporting on risk & compliance, helping our teams identify and navigate risks confidently and effectively through the RFDS Risk Framework. Your influence will ensure that risk management principles are not just understood but lived throughout the organisation.

The focus will be on whole-of-organisation, enterprise-level risks, and the framework for everyone in the organisation to apply.  Being able to collaborate with our aviation, clinical, and WHS teams who manage specialist risks is essential.  RFDS SA/NT is in the final stages of implementing a new software product to manage and report on risks, actions & controls: working knowledge of such systems and being able to drive implementation and adoption will be a key marker of success in the first 6-12 months of the role.

What You’ll Bring:

Proven experience in a similar enterprise risk role.

A track record of successfully leading organisation-wide improvement initiatives.

Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.

A self-starter attitude — you’re motivated, organised, and thrive both independently and collaboratively.

Advanced computer proficiency — you’re confident with word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with laser-sharp attention to detail.

Expertise in data collection, management, and analysis to inform decision-making.

Problem-solving prowess, with a knack for analysing complex scenarios.

Previous experience with enterprise risk management software and database systems.

Why Join Us?

Be at the forefront of shaping risk culture in a dynamic & complex organisation.

Work closely with leadership and influence strategic decision-making.

Make a real impact with your work every day.

Join a supportive team that values your insights and innovation.

If you’re passionate about risk management and ready to elevate your career, we want to hear from you.
