We are seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our team of Warehouse Automation software developers and quality assurance analysts. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and continuous improvement within our organization. You will be responsible for the development and support of our applications, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and delivering exceptional customer service. Your leadership will be crucial in accelerating our delivery of value-added solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and inspire a team of software developers and QA analysts, providing daily direction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
· Ensure projects are aligned with corporate goals, properly scoped, resourced, and delivered on schedule and within budget.
· Oversee the planning and design of application architecture, presenting innovative architectural options and design solutions.
· Develop and refine the SDLC, application standards, procedures, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Stay current on development tools and languages to maximize team innovation and effectiveness.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders across the organization, ensuring exceptional customer service.
· Demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership in the IT department.
Team Projects:
· New Business Initiatives: Oversee the development and implementation of new features and capabilities to meet the needs of a growing business constantly in change.
· System Integration: Oversee the integration of the WMS with other systems, such as Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), to streamline operations.
· Modernizing Legacy Systems: Lead the modernization of our legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) application to enhance efficiency and functionality.
· LEAN Software Development: Apply LEAN principles to continuously improve the delivery of value-added services to the warehouse, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
· Team Development: Build, implement, and monitor growth and learning programs for team members to develop future leaders within the team.
