Work Hours: 40 hour week with core hours of 9-5pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The essential duties of this position include providing technical support for knowledge based services to ACC Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division (A3C) primarily supporting the Air Operations Center (AOC), Control and Reporting Center (CRC), Battle Control Center (BCC), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS), Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), E-11 Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN), and Airborne Reconnaissance Operations. The position requires one-on-one interaction with USAF staff both on-premise and remotely. The position requires independent research and analysis, communication, documentation, and problem solving.

Essential Functions

·       Provide CRC operational employment to support battle management functions, to include but not limited to integrated air and missile defense, weapons control, airspace management, communications planning, and datalink management.

·       Liaise with system program offices, MAJCOM counterparts, other agencies on staff, and other CRCs to remain current on CRC weapon system capabilities, developments and initiatives; advise branch leadership on policies and positions.

·       Liaise with appropriate staff offices to ensure major areas of concern are covered by requirement documents; planning and programming documents.

·       Advise leadership and recommend options to manage and improve CRC requirements processes, procedures and doctrine; manning levels; efficiency and effectiveness; equipment capabilities; training requirements.

·       Participate as Requirements SME in CRC related exercises, tests, experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the CRC and associated infrastructure.

·       Actively participate in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.

·       Assist leadership in reviewing, developing, and preparing lead command operational inputs for CRC programmatic funding (current and modernization).

·       Analyze costs, schedules, and technical performance of the CRC in satisfying warfighter needs.

·       Review, develop and prepare programmatic documents supporting the CRC program.

      Review, develop, analyze, validate, and prepare programmatic documents and requirement documentation such as AF Form 1067, Functional Capability Documents, and similar acquisition/modification documentation. Coordinate with branch leadership to recommend A3C’s position. 

Coordinate with subordinate units to assess operational requirements. 

Develop and track CRC weapons system requirements and make recommendations to leadership to improve operational capabilities and to meet maintenance, logistics, integration, and employment plans.

 

Required Education and Experience

 

Degree from an accredited university Bachelor’s

Rated operations experience as a USAF Air Battle Manager (AF AFSC 13B) (10 Years)

OR

Experience as Aerospace Control and Warning Systems Operator (AF AFSC 1C5)  (15 Years)

Experience with CRC weapons system capabilities, operations, weapons system capabilities, developments and initiatives, sustainment, and organizational structure (3 Years)

Relevant experience as a project and/or program manager with demonstrated ability to perform as a senior level expert and serve as a senior project lead (4 Years)

Experience working in a Headquarters Staff (NAF, MAJCOM, or above) environment producing decision documents, presenting briefings, building staff packages, coordinating with other staff personnel, working with other major command elements, and interfacing with USAF staffs (3 Years)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat software (Meets)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to move physical IT equipment.
