We are in search of a Legal Analyst I or Legal Analyst II to join our Legal department in Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the Associate General Counsel and is responsible for reviewing and certifying entity documentation related to AgWest loans.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. 

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Rocklin, California is:

Level I: $59,000 - $89,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary.

Level II: $66,000 - $99,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary.

Job Requirements

  • Review and analyze borrower's entity documentation relative to formation, authority to borrow, guarantee, pledge assets, and sign loan documents.
  • Analyze organizational entity documentation to identify and material issues that affect enforceability of loan documentation.
  • Work with attorneys regarding certification issues.
  • Draft custom borrowing authorizations and incumbency certificates.
  • Work with attorneys in updating entity certification procedures, best practices guidelines, checklists and related internal-use forms and documents.
  • Assist with training credit staff in entity certification procedures.
  • Interact with credit staff to obtain clarification, supporting documentations and resolve issues, as needed. 
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Paralegal certification, associate's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Prior paralegal or loan documentation experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and trusts
  • Understanding of legal requirements for securing loans with real and personal property under real estate law and the UCC
  • Effective interpersonal, collaboration, communication, team building, problem solving, analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications
  • Read, write and present general business information at an advanced level
