General Summary:

The Call Center/Scheduler greets patients verbally on the phone. Respond to patients in a timely manner.  Provides exceptional customer service, to include courteous, helpful, accurate and proactive communication and problem solving for patients to insure that their health care is provided in the most effective and timely manner possible.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Proficiency in typing, filing and aptitude to learn office software
  2. Good verbal and writing skills and a strong sense of organization
  3. Team oriented with a strong belief in customer service
  4. Use EMR/EHR
  5. Use scanners, copiers and other office equipment
  6. Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette
  7. Ability to exercise initiative decision-making and problem solving
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment
  9. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  10. Strong organization and verbal communication skills
  11. Maintain a positive environment, working with co-workers and customers within a diverse culture.

  14. The ability to sit for long periods of time.
  15. Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability

  1. High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.     
  2. Experience with heavy phone volume, scheduling, verifying insurance eligibility, preparing medical records preferred.
  3. Previous customer service experience preferred.
  4. Electronic medical records experience preferred.
  5. Basic computer/keyboard knowledge.
  6. One year experience in providing customer service either via phone or in person focused on patient care experience
  7. Ability to type 60 wpm
