Nurse Practitioners – Sydney
• Recruiting for the 2020 Influenza Vaccination season
• Expanded service model
• Tell us your availability and we’ll endeavour to accommodate
Apotex has been delivering flu vaccinations in community pharmacies for over 12 years and we have achieved many goals in shaping community pharmacies as health care destinations nationally. Planning has commenced for the 2020 flu vaccination season and we are seeking expressions of interest from Nurse Practitioners to work with us in delivering the service in community pharmacy, child care centres, aged care facilities and corporate companies Australia-wide.
As a Nurse Practitioner working with us you will be responsible for running the vaccination clinics plus set up and pack up time. Clinics run between 2-6 hours depending on the size of the site. If you have a 2 hour clinic we try to match it with another clinic in the area to give you a full day’s work. Within one working day you may be required to go to a maximum of 3 sites. The team at Apotex does our best to choose sites that are close to your home location however it is likely there will be some travel involved.
As part of the consultation with each patient you will complete straight forward administration via our booking system. You will receive an attractive hourly rate, super, travel time and mileage. We have opportunities in Sydney and the surrounding region. For more information about our clinics visit http://www1.apotex.com/au/healthcare-professionals/apo-wellness
You are an AHPRA endorsed Nurse Practitioner with Immunisation (from age 2 and up) in your Scope of Practice. You are a confident vaccinator with the ability to make people feel comfortable in a short period of time. You are motivated by working with the community to improve health awareness and positive health outcomes. You will have a current CPR certificate and anaphylaxis management skills.
You will have a full and valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance. You are comfortable visiting different locations for the delivery of the clinics and you are reliable.
This is a great opportunity to work in a field delivering proactive health education and awareness that is expanding. Please submit your resume and cover letter. We will endeavour to accommodate all types of availability during April to July 2020. For a confidential discussion, please contact Jennie Brandenburg, HR on (02) 88778345. Your interest and application will be treated in confidence.
