Branch Supervisor

 Position Summary:

·        To coordinate and supervise all sales and customer service activities to achieve satisfaction consistent with good business practices.

·        Oversee customer and administrative activities and assist with the resolution of branch-related service issues.

Major Responsibilities:

·        Responsible to support sales growth and profitability of the Branch.

·        Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships.

·        Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturer partners to ensure we are positioned as a strong channel in the Region.

·        Prepare appropriate annual, monthly and weekly plans. Set reasonable goals with deadlines for completion and monitor results.

·        Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

·        Manage and train Branch employees to the Graybar Canada standards.

·        Determine merchandise and services.

·        Manage inventory control – including accuracy, daily cycle count input and variance reconciliation.

·        Responsible for all building security.

·        Responsible to direct and administer safe practices in accordance with company safety policies.

·        Manage branch inventory levels on a daily basis to ensure local customer requirements are met.

·        Set an example by following all company procedures and policies.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

·        College diploma or equivalent work experience.

·        Broad knowledge of Company’s products, services and operations.

·        Understanding and commitment to Company quality goals and standards.

·        Excellent communication skills and leadership skills required.

·        Ability to handle customer complaints and mediate customer disputes.

·        Working knowledge of PC’s including Microsoft Word and Excel.
