DT Global is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) to oversee the technical and operational implementation of USAID’s FTF Bangladesh Agricultural Infrastructure Development Activity (BAIDA). The project will seek to increase the quality and quantity of agricultural produce for domestic, regional and international markets through a combination of infrastructure improvements:

  • Upgrade and rehabilitation of rural roads to improve farmers’ access to markets and the delivery of agricultural inputs and services to farms;
  • Construction and renovation of market centers, collection centers and cold storage facilities to improve post-harvest handling of agricultural produce in order to increase their market values; and,
  • Rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage systems and flood protection to increase the number of hectares of farmland under irrigated cultivation, especially during the dry season.

Job Description

  • Provides overall leadership and technical direction for the program, ensuring an integrated vision across program components with a focus on achieving the sustainable results
  • Manages technical implementation and administrative operations, tracking the program’s progress and documenting lessons learned
  • Ensures that project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements are observed
  • Identifies risks to implementation in a timely manner and adjusts programming as necessary
  • Serves as the key liaison between USAID, project stakeholders, and implementing partners


  • An advanced degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working on infrastructure design and construction/rehabilitation of rural roads, post-harvest handling and storage facilities, irrigation and drainage systems, and/or other relevant technical areas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience on development programs in Bangladesh or the South Asia region, preferably as a Team Leader, Deputy Chief of Party, or Chief of Party.
  • Proven track record of engaging local counterparts – national and provincial governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector – to achieve meaningful and sustainable results.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, to implement a program’s strategic vision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
