Description

Duties: Semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction and repair work; lead and review the work of an assigned crew. Operate a variety of vehicles and equipment; determine proper amount of tools and materials necessary to complete and maintain accurate records of work time and material usage and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in maintenance and/or construction; including at least one (1) year experience in a supervisory position; combination of experience and training required that would provide the required knowledge and ability. Ability to obtain City License and Class A Commercial License is required.

 

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES: Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residence within the City of Jackson.

 

PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENTSHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
