Public Safety Administrator
|Pay Minimum:||$20.988 Hourly|
|Work Hours:||8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.|
Duties:Supervise and participate in a variety of administrative support funcions for an assigned department, including budget, purchasing, computer operations, inventory of supplies and police equipment. Manage office support functions, direct the work activities of other technical and clerical personnel; prioritize and coordinate work assignments, review and evaluate work. Supervise the ordering and storage of appropriate supplies for the department; research various products for cost and reliability; oversee the receipt and distribution of supplies.
Qualifications: Six years of increasingly responsible administrative or accounting experience, including two years of supervisory responisbility. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration or related field.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR CITY EMPLOYEES:
Within six (6) months from date of employment, must establish residence within the City of Jackson.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
