We're now hiring a Financial Performance Analyst within our Performance Analytics and Advisory Services (PAAS) team. The Financial Performance Analyst is responsible for analyzing healthcare organization’s financial performance and assessing healthcare industry financial trends.


  • Calculates industry historic and forecasted rate of change for key health system and clinical performance measures.
  • Helps organizations calibrate goals to ensure health systems are challenging themselves to bridge the gap between current and desired performance while maintaining reasonable likelihood of achievement.
  • Builds innovative dashboards and reports to effectively communicate financial analyses to clients at the C-Suite and Board level.
  • Analyzes available financial databases and/or financial statements and builds reports on client financial positioning and performance.
  • Serves as internal expert on financial statements, including but not limited to the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and profit and loss statement in addition to applicable footnotes and accompanying schedules.
  • Prepares financial and statistical analyses, graphs and presentation materials.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or another related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in accounting or finance in a health care setting that includes experience with computer systems, spreadsheet and database applications, data flow, report creation and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and governmental regulations as applied to healthcare financial management.
  • Detailed knowledge of publicly available financial statements (quarterly and audited) and balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement measures.
  • Knowledge of the principles of statistical analysis as applied to the development and design of financial reporting.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • Background in statistics.
  • Experience in database development and management.
  • Experience in data visualization and statistical modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Background in advanced analytics and predictive modeling (e.g., random forests, clustering, logistic regression).


  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manipulate and understand complex information.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to successfully manage and direct complex project deliverables in a very driven and changing organization.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
