Our Role

This role will be based at our Buchan Limestone quarry, which is an hour from Traralgon in East Gippsland, near the town of Bairnsdale. In this position you will be responsible for safely delivering and leading the mining plan and monitoring mining activities to ensure optimal business performance of mining assets. Key deliverables of the role include safe, sustainable mining and processing activities of lime and limestone products to meet quality and cost expectations whilst maintaining a healthy relationship within the community in which we operate.

 

Key focus areas will be:

  • Ensuring safe and effective operation of the mining operations, crushing and milling plant.
  • Influencing the performance of mining and operations team members, contractors and visitors to deliver compliance with Safety and relevant company and regulating authority standards.
  • Maximizing mining production to build inventory and deliver required volumes while meeting quality and specification of dispatched products.
  • Managing and support budget preparation, monitor and control expenditure to ensure delivery of required activities within budgeted Operating Expenditure (OpEx).
  • Working with various internal and external stakeholders to meet or exceed legal and regulatory expectations whilst maintaining a healthy relationship within the community.

 

You will have:

  • Quarry/mining and or processing operations or other relevant experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and people management experience
  • The role will require an experienced, results-oriented people leader with safety, operational, change management and financial experience in similar environments.
  • Ability to concurrently focus on a range of short, medium and long-term priorities are required.
