About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Wagners CFT in Wellcamp. This hands-on position is a vital part of our manufacturing facility, focusing on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial setting. The role is essential in ensuring the continued smooth operation of machinery and equipment within our facility located about 15 minutes west of Toowoomba.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial equipment in accordance with relevant standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults across various production lines and machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and efficiency of all electrical systems.
• Work within defined project and operational timeframes to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other stakeholders to coordinate equipment shutdowns, upgrades, and modifications.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and repairs, including compliance with regulations.
• Provide mentoring to electrical apprentices.
• Collaboratively work to reduce costs, downtime, and plant inefficiencies.
• Provide advice to managers and other stakeholders regarding electrical planning and operations.

Skills & Qualifications 

• Trade qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology Electrician).
• A commitment to adhering to Workplace Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
• Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, 5+ years preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
