Wagners is seeking experienced and safety-minded Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (Diesel Fitters) to join Toowoomba Workshop team. You’ll be responsible for carrying out routine servicing and maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, assembly of heavy vehicles and mobile equipment, and more.

About the Role

  • Competitive hourly rate + Super + Allowances + Penalty Rates

  • Permanent Full-Time

  • Monday to Friday with optional Saturday work 

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing all maintenance and service tasks on fleet vehicles

  • Repairing faults promptly

  • Attend breakdowns and emergencies

  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, and other components

  • Assembly of Heavy Vehicles and Mobile Equipment

  • Maintain the cleanliness and professional presentation of the Workshop at all times

  • Follow and comply with all Safety and onsite OHSW procedures

About You

  • Open C Class drivers licence (HR or above is advantageous)

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology OR Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with the willingness to upskill

  • Demonstrated industry experience

  • Knowledge of basic Electronic Diagnostic Equipment

  • Ability to work within the NHVAS requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and show initiative

  • Professional presentation and a positive ‘can do’ attitude

  • Possess a flexible, adaptable and versatile approach to prioritising tasks in a changing work environment

  • Pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol testing

  • Undergo a National Police Check

  • Provide 2 work-related references including one professional/supervisor
