Cement Plant Operator

Our Cement team is looking for a number of full-time Cement Plant Operators to meet the interesting challenges of production operations at our busy 7 days a week cement plant at Pinkenba.

Duties

• Operation of the cement plant (grinding mills & packaging lines) and mobile equipment (front end loaders, forklifts & excavators)
• Collect and analyse cement production samples
• Diagnose plant problems, instigate repairs and participate with maintenance staff as required
• Grease and clean mobile machinery
• Perform inspections on both fixed and mobile plant equipment
• Comply with Wagners Obligations under Chain of Responsibility

Skills and Experience

• Front End Loader experience (preferable)
• Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills
• familiarity with computers
• Experience working in a continuous manufacturing workplace (preferable)
• Experience working on a rotating continuous shift roster (preferable)
• Willingness to learn and a flexible 'can-do' attitude
• Forklift licence (an advantage)
