Batcher in Training - Toowoomba

What will I be doing?

Learn the operations of our batching plant from the ground up.

  • Starting in the yard you will learn;

    • Safety first

    • the process of how the concrete is mixed

    • the way the plant operates

    • assist with deliveries

    • learn how to operate the loader

    • general housekeeping

 

  • Moving into the batching plant you will learn;

    • how to allocate the right mixes to the correct truck

    • how to mix the concrete for delivery

    • how to plan and deliver orders on time and meet the customer requirements

    • troubleshoot issues and resolve in a timely manner

    • professional and respectful customer service

This traineeship is provided with the view to have the successful candidate to be able to eventually run their own Wagners Concrete Plant in the SEQ Region.

What do you need to apply?

  • C Class Driver's licence (HR Desirable) and reliable transport (Mandatory)

  • Completed Certificate II in any discipline (Mandatory)

  • Experience in a labouring-based role working 10–12-hour shifts (Mandatory)

  • Stores/Warehouse/Operational/Logistics experience

  • Customer Service experience and ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative

  • Outstanding Safety Culture and Focus

  • Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication skills
