Summary:

Implement and carry out preventive & corrective maintenance, as well as participate in major upgrading work on steam turbines and the associated auxiliaries in order to fulfil regulatory / insurance / statutory / safety & health and production requirement

Responsibilities:

• Take part in analysis of the breakdown equipment, arrange appropriate manpower and mobilize required resources
• Supervise execution of work and ensure completion within deadline
• Implement and supervise maintenance and overhaul programme for turbine and auxiliaries for safe operation, high level of reliability and optimum performance
• Carry out re-commissioning of overhauled equipment jointly and work with other sections
• Review and monitor spares based on past consumption patterns in order to determine the requirements on optimum usage basis
• Certify work done and process work completion certificate in order to facilitate contractual payments
• Ensure continuous improvement on the plant’s systems and processes in terms of productivity, reliability and safety
• Collate and prepare monthly reports for maintenance carried out for the assigned plant

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering that is recognized by Professional Engineer Board
• At least 2 - 5 years’ experience on operational & maintenance of large capacity steam and gas turbines and the associated auxiliaries.
• Self-driven, result-oriented and good initiative with hands-on can-do attitude
• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work independently and be a team player
• Familiar with precision mechanical assembly work is added advantage
