ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Under the supervision of the Projects Manager for the Caribbean, the Program Officer - Caribbean programs provides strategic support and oversight on a variety of tasks, including project management, donor reporting, proposal development, and monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) activities. The Program Officer is responsible for management level support for a variety of projects within the Caribbean portfolio.
Our ideal candidate has a good understanding of the culturally and socially diverse communities that exist across the Caribbean. We, at Internews, always look at our local partners' needs first. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for building relationships with a large network of diverse individuals and organizations. While patience is a virtue when supporting projects in very complex environments, the successful candidate will also be proactive and detail-oriented and take a dynamic approach to project implementation.
LOGISTICS
This is a fully remote role. Our ideal candidate is based in the US, Canada, or Mexico. Internews has US offices in Arcata, CA and Washington, DC which support a hybrid workforce with staff working remotely, fully in-office, or partially remote. Candidates based in the Washington, DC area who would prefer a partial remote position should feel free to express this preference during the hiring process.

The annual salary range for this position is US $70,100 - US $87,600. Please note that this salary range applies to US-based candidates only. Learn more about US benefits on our Benefits page.
