Morocco Climate Change Program

Background:  DAI seeks qualified technical candidates for the anticipated USAID sponsored Morocco Climate Program. The program will support efforts to increase and promote climate change adaptation best practices and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change through education, economic growth and governance programming, all to reduce the impact of climate change. USAID intends to collaborate with the Government of Morocco (GOM) in order to implement adaptation initiatives and reduce emissions. Advancing locally led development and climate change initiatives with Moroccan communities and institutions at the forefront are main areas of focus for this program. Additionally, the program may incorporate collaboration with various industries such as agriculture, renewable energy, and water resource management.

Experience: Five (5) or more years of relevant experience

Country: Morocco

  •        Citizen and Civil Society Organization (CSO) engagement

  •        Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Adaptation

DAI seeks qualified technical specialists skilled in the areas above.

In addition, DAI seeks Moroccan nationals for program management, finance, and operations positions who are skilled in:

  •        Finance and Accounting
  •        Administration
  •        Human Resources
  •        Operations
  •        Procurement
  •        Grants Administration
  •        Communications and Reporting
  •        Contracting/Subcontracting
  •        Logistics and Facilities
  •        IT Support & Administration

Qualifications:

  •        Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or field; advanced degree preferred
  •        Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in an applicable field
  •        Professional proficiency in English; fluency in French and/or Arabic preferred
  •        Prior experience managing teams in activity planning and implementation or working productively on a team
  •        Knowledge of US Government and USAID regulations and policies for contractors preferred
  •        Experience working with host-country government officials
  •        Experience working in the region; prior experience in Morocco preferred
