Overview of the Project.
The USAID/DRC Resilient Task Order is a Task Order under the Comprehensive Technical Assistance for Health Supply Chain and Pharmaceutical Management (Comprehensive TA) IDIQ award, which is a mechanism within the Next Generation of Supply Chain Suite of Programs (NextGen). The purpose of the Task Order is to improve supply chain systems for commodity security, logistics, and regulation at all levels of the public health system, from national to subnational. The goal is to ensure that quality, affordable medicines, and other health commodities are consistently available to healthcare providers and patients when and where they are needed and used appropriately for improved health outcomes, in support of moving toward Universal Health Coverage. This project will involve close collaboration with the Ministère de la Santé Publique, Hygiène et Prévention (Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention) and other Congolese government institutions at both the national and provincial levels to strengthen the health supply chain and pharmaceutical systems.
Overview of the Position:
The Finance and Operations Director will lead and manage the program’s finance and operations team, ensuring efficient daily programmatic operations, including financial management and analysis, procurement, partnering and subcontracting, human resources, and logistics. The Finance and Operations Director will develop, manage, and refine a lean and efficient operating model for the program, including designing and rolling out project-wide processes and systems. S/he will be responsible for overall budget financial management, and strategic planning and play a pivotal role in overseeing adherence to USAID rules and regulations, DAI policy, contract requirements and limitations, and internal controls.
