Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Credit Policy Guideline Analyst to join our team.


The Credit Policy Guideline Analyst is responsible for analyzing/researching all guidelines and reviewing all industry updates for all agencies, investors, and bond agencies. They help ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are understood and implemented. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintaining a strong governance framework that ensures all requirements and product changes are assessed from a credit /operational risk, competitive impact and decisions are well documented.
  • Developing, writing, and revising lending technical specification materials, including but not limited to; policies, procedures, forms, and quick-reference guides.
  • Assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Interacting at multiple levels across the company.
  • Conducting analysis of credit policies to make informed recommendations about underwriting strategies to support products. 
  • Review current product matrices to ensure that the information that is provided is up-to-date and accurate and update as needed.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert to provide guidance on topics that would relate to credit policy to ensure a consistent methodology throughout the underwriting department.
    Partnering with appropriate departments on any new or revised products. 
  • Acting in accordance with company, policies, and procedures.
  • Completing special tasks as assigned by manager as needed.


What you’ll bring

  • 2 years of underwriting experience.
  • Deep business process knowledge and stay abreast of business and regulatory changes. 
  • Problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster internal and external business relationships.
  • Strong, professional communications and delivery of credit policy requirements that drive transparency & brand awareness.
  • Working well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledgeable with all agency guidelines.
  • Organized and efficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
