Candidates must be local to the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area!


AB Life is the all-encompassing umbrella that brings together various aspects of Atlantic Bay’s employee engagement and experience. AB Life includes areas such as Digital Life, AB Health and Wellness and our fun employee engagement initiatives. The AB Life Ambassador is responsible for creating, executing, and supporting all AB Life initiatives. These initiatives may include virtual or in person events, digital communications via newsletter (Digital Life), departmental events and committee driven events that reach across all corporate departments or in support of enterprise initiatives with ODG and Sales.  


What you’ll be doing

  • Creating and executing unique and fun ideas to engage our employees throughout Atlantic Bay.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating events both virtual and in person.
  • Planning and organizing digital newsletter.
  • Working with department heads to plan and organize departmental experiences.
  • Providing secondary support as needed to Executive Assistants and Executive Coordinators.
  • Providing project coordination for the Company’s Health and Wellness Committee.
  • Gaining a complete understanding of the requirements for each event.
  • Researching vendors and providing suggestions for selection based upon creativity, quality, and cost.
  • Conducting surveys to collect data for events.
  • Developing content for event material and working with marketing for graphic design.
  • Initiating and monitoring event scheduling as it pertains to attendees.


What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in coordination, management, and oversight of projects, events, etc.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent creativity, organizational, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure without losing a customer-service oriented attitude.
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook required.
  • Good understanding of Zoom, Microsoft Teams and/or other virtual platforms.
  • Strong writing, communication and follow-up skills required.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software is a plus.
