Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Community Housing Advisor to join our dynamic team!  This position will be responsible for conducting ongoing business development activities focused on creating new affordable lending relationships, partnerships, and generating origination opportunities.  
 

What you’ll be doing

  • Establishing, building, and maintaining strategic relationships with Realtors, builders, municipalities, housing organizations, community groups and other groups that focus on affordable housing.
  • Partnering with internal and external partners to host workshops in the community focused on homeownership preparation and maintenance, financial awareness, and affordable lending opportunities.
  • Developing and utilizing networking opportunities to further strengthen Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group’s relationships in underserved communities and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Ensuring an excellent customer experience with each client throughout the entire homebuying process, including preparation through closing and beyond.
  • Researching and analyzing local data to uncover needs and opportunities.
  • Working with potential home buyers on credit repair as needed to become ready to buy.

What you’ll bring

  • NMLS license in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and/or Georgia and a willingness to obtain multiple states
  • Experience and working knowledge of affordable lending products and solutions 
  • Credit counseling certification preferred
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships within the community
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Amazing attitude with a focus on the customer experience, building customer loyalty and finding solutions to help others
  • Excellent organization, listening, and presentation skills
