Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #4 in the nation as the best large company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking an IT Intern for our Virginia Beach Office!

Our ideal intern is passionate about IT and understands the importance of technology! They have a strong desire to learn and expand their knowledge, translating their course practicum into real world experience! The intern must live in the Hampton Roads area and be currently pursuing an IT related college degree.

The duration of this internship is 4-months with the potential to be extended.

This position would be no more then 29 hours per week.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing profile transfers
• Shipping and packaging equipment
• Decrypting computers
• Assisting in and eventually working independently in the following tasks:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing simple network problems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing Microsoft Windows operating system problems
  • Using Microsoft Active Directory in password resets and group memberships
  • Troubleshooting and repairing common personal computer hardware problems
  • Eradicating malware on personal computers

• Conducting repairs remotely using remote desktop software
• Performing other miscellaneous IT duties as needed

What you’ll bring

• Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in an IT related field
• Professionalism and strong communication skills (both in person and via phone/email)
• Ability to work with all levels and varying positions of staff 
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Be able to have fun and be professional at the same time
• 1+ years of IT or related experience is a plus
• Certifications are welcome
