Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of PR and branding campaigns and activities
- Strategise and develop compelling story angles to achieve highest brand visibility in print, broadcast, TV and online media platforms, proactively pitch media stories
- See through media interviews from end to end, manage patient story video productions or photoshoots
- Monitor, produce and analyse daily media reports and recommend appropriate follow up actions
- Cultivate relationships with key business journalists in mass publications
- Manage media queries, coordinate and prepare replies to drive for a favourable angle to shape positive perception and opinion
- Arrange press conferences, media luncheons, brief and manage media representatives before, during and after key events, including arranging doorstop or patient interviews
- Build collaborative relationships and establish partnerships for free advertising space on various publications, online media and outdoor platforms to reach out to key target groups and the general public
- Play an integral role in crisis or issues management
- Ensure that company’s representation of factual information on public-facing platforms and medium (e.g. websites, collaterals) is accurate and up to date, including medical facts, patient statistics, etc, and to coordinate efforts for fact-checking and updates
- Provide editorial advice and support for publicity materials, coordinate multi-language translations when required
- Develop official correspondence or speeches
- Provide strategic communication advisory to other departments on programmes and communications collaterals
- Assist in event planning and execution
- Work closely with other team members to drive and manage ad-hoc projects and integrated marketing communications
Requirements:
- Degree in Journalism and Communication or related disciplines
- Degree in Life Sciences with relevant experience may be considered
- 5 years’ relevant working experience in Corporate Communications or Marketing Communications
- Prior healthcare experience will be an advantage
- Able to drive new initiatives, have strong influencing skills, develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions
- Strong PR and marketing acumen, able to innovate and provide creative and valuable insights and ideas
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as required
