Responsibilities:
- Ensure Oracle database availability and performance
- Perform daily health checks, support daily database administrative issue
- Support database backup, recovery, upgrades and patching
- Enhance existing database security functionality
- Work with software developers to troubleshoot and optimise software performance
- Develop performance metrics or standards related to information technology
- Able to take on additional work tasks or responsibilities when required
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related fields, or Diploma with at least 2 years of related working experience on Oracle 10g database and above
- Experience in Oracle 10g database administration and above
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Store Procedures and packages management
- Understanding of Oracle database Core and functionality
- Basic database recovery knowledge/ techniques
- Familiar with shell scripting
- Experience in manufacturing field will be an added advantage.
