• Our Client is a well-established Japanese MNC, in Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Purchasing planning, ordering of direct material and consumables.
• Perform sourcing, qualification and price negotiation function.
• Responsible for overall supervision to Purchasing Officer and Assistant.
• Ensure accuracy on P/O processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform strategy sourcing for capital purchase, fabrication/electrical/standard parts and engineering project.
• Identify cost saving areas ro achieve the goal.
• Lead and drive a team to derive a monthly cost saving for the company.
• Negotiate and manage suppliers to meet cost, quality, delivery and service targets.
• Issuing and sending RFQ/PO to suppliers.
• Recommend new/alternative materials/parts to end users where necessary.
• Resolve problems or issues aris from daily procurement ioerations, etc.
• Check and ensure no open PO/PR in SAP system.
• Handling business contract, draft and review, counter propose to supplier to the interest of company.
• Follow up with end user for parts, etc. (e.g. evaluation status and cut-in timing).
• Regularly monitor and evaluate supplier performance via a supplier rating system and conduct site audit if necessary.
• Knowledge of Incoterm for Import shipment.
• Monitor and ensure the daily procurement activities are carried out accordingly to company rules and procedures.
• Implement improvement plan for purchasing process/flow/system to enhance the work wfficiency and effectiveness.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements:

• Degree Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 7 years relevant experience in a High volume Manufacturing environment.
• Familiarize with Capital purchase, fabrication and mechanical parts.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Hands-on SAP experience.
• Possess good interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills.

Other Information:

• Working Location: West.
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
• Critical: Due to the organization's affirmed support and commitment to developing a Singaporean core, this role is only available to Singaporeans.
