Strategy Development
Define medium to long-term strategy and implementation roadmap of development capabilities for various systems in supporting on bank’s digitalisation agenda.
Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement company goal setting, performance management and annual operating plan
Optimise internal and external development resources and maximise outcome
Application Development
Provide strategic leadership and directly manages the teams: managing the Remittance, Customer Communication KYC and Web systems; establish and drive execution with strong operational plans; ensuring BAU deliverables, financial management, people capabilities, policies and procedures, key controls and governance are in place
Day to Day Operations
As Head of the Development Group, provide support to Department Head and management in setting strategic direction, leadership and management of operational activities and ensuring development requirements are met.
Lead negotiations with external vendors/suppliers to ensure expected service deliverables are met at optimal cost.
Align and forge collaboration across various teams through established performance management routines, measures and operating rhythm
Accountable for driving cost savings and digitalisation strategy.
People and Culture
Build high performance values-driven culture among the 3 teams in support of various department’s agenda
Lead and motivate direct leadership team towards development and delivery of strategic priorities for various department
Provide daily supervision to Team Heads, ensuring team heads/leads are motivated and equipped with skills and resources to manage their teams respectively
Oversee the hiring, training and coaching of mid-junior level managers
Senior Stakeholder Engagement
Influence and forge collaboration across senior stakeholders at country and regional level to achieve strategic priorities
Provide senior leadership oversight to cross-functional projects and steer diverse workforce groups towards shared outcomes
Qualifications
Min. 15 years in financial IT system development environment
Experienced in managing and supervising sizable workforce
Knowledge and experience in software development life cycle, change management, service delivery management and vendor management.
Familiar with Java technology, Microsoft and Linux environment.
Knowledge on banking product data structured in T24 core banking product, would be a plus.
Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
Effective communication with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Strong problem and conflict management skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills across diverse workforce segments and Asia markets.
