Responsibilities:

• Build strategic relationship with critical tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers for instrument manufacturing
• Lead supplier performance assessment, ensure internal/external alignments and drive continuous performance improvements
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate and select suppliers for new instrument products. Ensure cross-functional alignment on supplier selection strategy that leads to long-term supply chain sustainability, manufacturability and quality excellence
• Build supply chain sub-tier visibility.  Conduct risk assessments, develop risk mitigation plans and drive secondary sourcing efforts
• Benchmark the market, monitor technology trends and develop sourcing roadmap
• Conduct should-cost analysis and drive cost improvements efforts
• Negotiate various agreements with suppliers and ensure achievements of competitive commercial terms

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is strongly preferred with 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in electronics components, instruments manufacturing or contract manufacturing
• Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity
• Hands-on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions
• Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines
