Job Responsibilities
• Install SQL Server / Oracle
• Create new database
• Assist in database instance hardening and patching on identification of vulnerabilities
• Configure and conduct testing of Backup-Restore scripts
• Configure AOAG (SQL Server) / DataGuard (Oracle)
• Conduct testing of AOAGroup/Instance Switchover to D.R. and Switchback to PROD
• Migrate existing database to new server, with version upgrade
• Maintain inventory of database Server Installations
• Respond to database incidents, diagnose the issue and provide / implement resolution
• Identify performance issues and provide / implement resolution
• Provide support Audits with responses to Audit Queries, requests for evidence
• Implement database changes as required by PIC/ChangeOwner
• Provide runbooks / evidence for database changes
• Lead and provide guidance to DBA Team and handle escalations when necessary
• Respond to calls, incidents and requests in a timely manner (to be available after work hours and weekends)
• Update process and procedure documents
• Maintain proper documentation according to the company policies and practices
• Perform change and release management according to the company practices
• Provide expertise for incident and problem management, network incident responses, root cause analysis and ensure SLA
• Conduct post implementation review on areas of improvement and tuning.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Science, Business IT or its equivalent
• Certified Professional in Database Technology: SQL Server (MCP / MCSE) or Oracle (OCP)
• Proven of Database Administrator experience on Microsoft SQL Server / Azure
• Experience in database Upgrade and migrations to New Servers
• Experience in providing diagnostics and performance resolutions
• AOAG / BCP Database Migration to Cloud
• Experience as Team Leader
• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
• Prior work experience in a Banking / Financial Services industry preferred
