Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure availability of all Water treatment plant, Electro Chlorination Plant and all associated auxiliaries and ancillary equipment.
  • Supervise and ensure efficient production and quality of de-mineralized water and hypochlorite solution to meet Power plant requirement.
  • Monitor and control the HRSG drums water and feed water quality are within the required control standard and specifications for HRSG safety and prevent HRSG corrosion / scaling including inspection to ensure effectiveness of chemical injection.
  • Monitor and control the effectiveness of hypochlorite injection in sea water system to ensure all heat exchangers / condenser are operate efficiently including inspection to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Maintain and control all chemicals to ensure compliance with WSH rule and regulation / company rule and regulatory requirement.
  • Maintain and control of the inventory of chemicals through efficient usage, forecasting, to ensure such resources are always adequate for power plant operation and in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Any other duties assigned by his superior.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in water chemistry control, chemical plants operations for Process Plant such as de-mineralized water treatment plants, electro chlorinating plants and chemical injection system etc. A HazMat officer will be added advantage.
  • Good understanding of HRSG/Boiler water chemistry, water treatment specifically ion-exchange technology, fuel gas & oil chemistry and corrosion control.
