• Our Client is a well-established European Chemical Manufacturing MNC.
• Reporting to: Site Distribution Manager.
• Direct reports: A team of 3 (dotted line).
• Working location: Jurong Island with transport pick-ups provided from/to several MRT stations.

Responsibilities:

Safety

• Responsible for maintaining Driver & Vehicle Safety Framework for site within area of responsibility.
• Responsible to coordinate with Transport Safety Office (TSO) for the assurance that the followi activity are being done and working: Driver Duty Hours Compliance & Monitoring, Pre & Post trip inspections, compliance of trucks, prime movers, trailers, ISO tanks & tanker to Linde Standard.
• Coordinate with haulers and ensure compliance for all safety requirement.
• Assist in compliance/closure of Audit Action Points/CAR, incident investigation, follow up consequence management (for violators) if needed.

Financials

• Improve Distribution KPI though efficient operations (cost/m3, cost/km, capacity utilization, tim utilizations, etc.).
• Assist in country programs and evaluates feasibility with impact to costs.
• Ensure accuracy of hauler billing (reliability, km run), all trips have corresponding post trip processes executed in SAP. Check, validate and sign hauler billing to ensure accuracy (if applicable).

Customers

• Ensure schedule compliance of trips to customers based on orders.
• Come up with a daily bulk delivery schedule at 12:00 PM and PGP scheduler at 5:00 PM with ETA per customers.
• Maintain close communications with key stakeholders in dispatch, customer service, sales, operations, transport and production to ensure timely completion of schedule and producing the most cost and operationally effective schedule daily.
• Reduce product return or backloads to site by continuously improving the scheduling process.
• Manage situations of product shortage, plant shutdown, vehicle shortage and any other situations that can negatively affect scheduling efficiency with the relevant stakeholders to ensure minimal stock outs.
• Pro-actively inform customers of potential delays in delivery.
• Ensure availability of trucks for respective sites and related equipment.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission reports, prepare shipping documentation for ESG/PG products.

Internal Process

• Execute confirmation of delivery notes for bulk & PGP deliveries, send weekly shipping schedule Cylinder Supply Chain Management (CSCM) warehouse supervisors.
• Ensures that all policies, procedures and work instructions affecting quality in the areas of operation are compiled and implemented at all times by their staff.
• Responsible for the contractor management of the site, conduct self-audit for transport operations.
• Ensure that defect monitoring systems are working and all defects raised are properly addressed.
• Make coordination with country chambers of commerce to process certificate of origins.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Business, Logistics or related discpline.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in Distribution operations.
• Clear understanding of the Logistics environment in the country.
• Proficiency in using MS Office skills and SAP module.
• Ability to take quick decisions based on circumstances, data support system.
• Good understanding of the internal and external interfaces.
• Awareness about the statutory and corporate rules and regulations.
• Possess good communication skill to interact with Customers, Contractors & Drivers.

• Working Location: Jurong Island.
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
