Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as " Manager /Senior Manager (Legal & Compliance)".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

• Provide legal support and advice to business division to ensure that the business is run in compliance with laws and regulations and proper compliance risk analysis.
• Research the latest development of legal/compliance topics and keep the organization updated
• Maintain and improve the quality of company’s activities from Legal perspectives and update the relevant corporate rules/policies based on the research above.
• Support the business projects, as required from time to time, from the view of Legal support (both compliance and contract negotiation).
• Handles legal related matters as a team with regional office, external lawyers and insurance companies.
• Review business contracts with understanding of the business to manage the liabilities and risks.

Requirements:

• Degree in related field with more than 10 years in Legal/Compliance/M&A department in company, preferably shipping industry or law firm
• Basic Microsoft knowledge (word, excel, ppt.)
• Basic knowledge of compliance topics e.g. competition, antibribery, etc.
• Basic knowledge of container shipping industry (preferably)
