Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as " Vessel Operator (Container)(COC 1 or 2 from Deck side)".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

• Monitor vessel performance for all company’s Group vessels (Owned, Chartered-in/Chartered-out)
• Manage the Fuel Performance of company’s Group Operated/Chartered-in vessels
• Maximise cost savings from lower Fuel consumption, off hire deductions, etc.
• Crisis management (safety, security, environment) – providing support to all key stakeholders
• Tracking and optimizing Carbon footprint/GHG emissions
• Analyse the route advices from the vendor and recommending new routing optimisation opportunities to vessels
• Ensure traffic management module is maintained and monitor inputs by agencies
• Maintain comprehensive Ports Cards Database

Requirements:

• Relevant Maritime background with shipboard/seafaring experience at COC 1 (Deck)/COC 2 (Deck) .
• Working experience in a Fleet Monitoring setting for a major Shipping Line will be a great asset although not a must.
• Possess excellent analytical skills with experience in big data management and proficient in Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
• Self-Motivated and highly analytical
• Possess good communication skills and can work efficiently with multicultural teams
• Able to influence/lead discussions with stakeholders in achieving results.
