Our client is a well established Freight Forwarding MNC. Currently, they are seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as "Import Manager (NVOCC)".

In this role, your overall responsibilities will include amongst others :

• Oversees Import team on daily operations
• Be responsible for managing department budgets and in setting targets with other senior managers.
• Liaison with customers and origin agents on operation and rates issues
• Responding to Customs queries
• Verify overseas & contractors’ invoices
• Managing forwarders’ account
• Be responsible for customer care and handling of all customer complaints and to negotiate claims.
• Prepare reports on the performance of the department and suggest improvements that will enhance the company's profit margins and productivity
• Maintain records for accounting purposes in accordance with company procedures, including checking of all invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations
• Negotiate with carriers, warehouse operators or distribution networks to determine tariffs

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in related field
• At least 5 years of related working experience in NVOCC setup/or organisation
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to make decisions at critical times and whilst under pressure
• Familiar in SYSFREIGHT (Freight Management Software)
