Responsibilities:
- Network and security management
- Maintain and administer computer networks and manage network devices, monitoring network performance reliability and suitability
- Configure, install, maintain, lifecycle planning of network services and devices
- Experience in log review, monitoring, firewall rule review
- Technical support on all hardware and software in network environment
- Vendor management, manage problem resolution process and troubleshooting
- Conduct IT security awareness training for staff
- Maintain documentation of implemented networks
- Operations & Maintenance Management
- Daily IT operational and disaster center operational tasks and ops support for user inquiries and issues
- Perform house-keeping tasks (i.e. backup, and optimization) and disaster recovery operations and data backups; and maintain network user accounts
- Direct and coordinate troubleshooting and recommendations for hardware, software, and other network and system problems
- Implement an integrated mechanism for IT inquiries, call handling, logging and escalation for IT issues and assignment
- Coordinate and implement network security measures
- Configure and maintain virus protection software and email applications when required
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree holder in computer science or IT related discipline, with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in banking and financial services, and experience with routers, switches and firewall, i.e. Cisco, Huawei, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint etc.
- Proficient in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese colleagues and read technical documentation in Chinese
- Preferably familiar with MAS Notice 655(Cyber Hygiene Practices)
- Experience in using Network Management System, i.e. Nagios etc., and in Virtualization Infrastructure, i.e. VMware etc. will be an advantage
- Independent and team player
- Certifications (CCNA/CCNP/HCNA/HCNP or equivalent level in networking) is an advantage
