Responsibilities:
- Co-develop and co-manage company’s CAD file database together with other R&D Engineer.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of selected 3D printers for materials’ printability testing.
- Lead the development of sample kits for launched products.
- Manage post processing operations for the printed objects (including washing with solvents, drying, post curing with UV light/heat, trimming, sanding, etc.).
- Manage the day-to-day schedules/operations of 3D printers to ensure safe and efficient use of printers.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 3D printers and related equipment to ensure safe and quality prints.
- Perform inspections on printed parts and printers; and identify areas for improvements.
- Provide training to others on the safe use of 3D printers and related equipment.
- Communicate results and findings to R&D scientists on a regular basis.
- Create, develop, and update documents (e.g., standard/safe operating procedures, risk assessments, work instructions and laboratory records) in alignment with site EHSQ protocols.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the Additive Manufacturing field.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD/CAM software to design and prepare 3D models for printing (required).
- Knowledge and experience with 3D printers (e.g., SLA, DLP) and related post-processing equipment/process (required).
- Preferrable owned basic knowledge of Chemistry and Polymer.
- Experience in working in a chemical laboratory/wet chemistry laboratory with an understanding of safety aspects and EHSQ is required.
- Self-driven, motivated, and taking initiative are the key traits to be a suitable candidate.
