Our client is a reputable name in the Shipping Industry. Currently, they are seeking a well qualified shipping candidate to join them as "Line Manager (Trade/Pricing)(ISC Trade)".

In this role, you will be contributing in the following areas :

• Line Manager for South India trades
• Be the liaison party between customers, vendors and employers’ offices.
• As part of the Marketing team, support sales transactions with the company’s existing and potential accounts.
• Work closely with Operations to look at opportunities to minimize operating costs.
• Coordinate and prepare trade statistics.
• Day to day coordination with vessel operators on space/tonnage, excess loading and shippers’ requirements.
• Make recommendation on service upgrades, add or withdraw existing service that is financially non viable/irrelevant
• Space allocation – set and manage BSA on services operated by the company
• Attend to bookings, especially for special cargos.
• Explore expansion opportunities and engage commercial activities
• Compose budgets and quarterly reforecasts
• Weekly flash reporting of voyage P&L.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Maritime/Business/Logistics or related discipline
• Candidates should have minimum 5 years of relevant experience.  
• ISC Trade knowledge is an advantage.
• Possess good commercial and business acumen
• Resilient and a strategic thinker
