Our client is a reputable name in the Shipping Industry. Currently, they are seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as "Deputy Manager (Budget)".

In this role, you will be contributing in the following areas :

• Prepare OPEX Dashboard, Management Report, Rolling Forecasts/Projections and summarize insight for management
• Perform variance analysis of the actual against the budgets/forecast/projection and investigate the underlying reasons for the variance
• Gap analysis between management, Budget and forecast and adequate action to alert management for any deviation
• Develop business cases to assess the financial feasibility to support Business strategy
• Review project status and alert any risk on project/s with potential negative variance on bottom-line
• Leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools to gain insights and identify trends to support decision making
• Build financial models, analyse data, and synthesize raw information into meaningful insights, dashboard reports and assess the implication
• Identify KPI and work closely with business owners to achieve and excel

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years related experience with good financial planning, trend analysis exposure and excel skills. 
• Independent and able to work in a fast-paced and voluminous environment
• Able to draw on ‘big’ and ‘small’ data, selecting the appropriate tools to manipulate, analyse and interpret it in sophisticated, audience-appropriate ways
• Fast learner and able to pick up systems and work processes quickly
• Possess strong core business skills including influencing, stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Proactive, problem solver, able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Be a single point of contact to provide financial support to stakeholders
