Plan, optimize and control work process to ensure maximum performance and efficiency in the team

Maintain and manage safe and stable plant operations by supporting the shift supervisor and other departments

Safety and environment management - Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, Systems & Processes.

Participate in investigation of abnormality report, non-conforming product report, accident/ incident report, and propose corrective and preventive measures

Operation Management - Ensure standard operation conditions are setup and communicated to the team and address to issues to prevent disruption to the production

Involve and support in ASDM Preparation, execution, and commissioning.

Management of facilities - Confirms safety prior to the commencement of maintenance work according to the “Work Permit System” and gives permission for maintenance job.

Quality & Cost Control - Ensure quality of products including product safety.

Pays attention to the work performance of his/her staff and gives appropriate guidance through mentoring and coaching.

Conduct the annual performance appraisal for his/her team members and assesses staff appropriately and makes efforts to help them improve their performance, record the training needs

Act as the backup Shift Supervisor as and when needed.

Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical engineering or equivalent.
-
At least 3 years work experience as shift supervisor in chemical processing plant, polymerization process knowledge will be advantageous.

Good knowledge of chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and distributed control system.

With working knowledge of ISO45001/ISO14001/SS651, IATF16949/ISO9001, and regulations.

Steam engineer/boiler attendant, preferable.

Ability to work as day staff, under tight deadlines and self-motivated.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good interpersonal skills and leadership skill
