Support New Plant qualification, participate in New Product Introduction: Designing, installing and commissioning new production equipment, monitoring modifications and upgrades, up to complete customer qualification and develop process conditions.
Provide all necessary technical inputs and overall responsible in ensuring proper process design basis are incorporated into new plant and supporting infrastructure and utilities.
Responsible for process monitoring, troubleshooting (E.g. Feeding, polymerization & Compounding) & stable operation: Assess process, collect data. Ensuring process at the optimum level (rate and quality). Resolution of manufacturing problems.
Lead change in process equipments, retrofit assets when required. Knowledge of compounding of filled products and screw configuration.
Work closely with Technology team, other sites & conduct site Design of Experiment (DOE) and scale up trials for process improvements and translations. TG (toll gate) reviews with different stake holders.
Asset Technical Specification: Responsible for the technical specification determination, work with vendors & Engineering for the new process equipment purchase. Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
Participate in Safety standard programs like SHEM, Risk assessment studies & 5S, housekeeping activities.
Participate Quality culture & facilitating all aspects of process engineering for new and existing products to obtain stable operation & consistency of high quality of product to meet customer requirements. feasibility testing to process Improvement.
Support Quality Engineering for the key process equipments for polymerization and compounding process for consistency of the process.
System knowledge: Process data base set up for new items - Site Process Capability Engineer (PCE) role for SAP
Maintain process instruction for ZGRADE, ZGRADECOL through inheritance.
Set up material priority & alternative Item Groups in a BOM
Create BOM for existing HALB and Activate BOM
Maintain master recipe: Phase assignments and Material assignments.
Create production version for new material.
Applied knowledge of data analysis by using statistical tools and able to drive Learn/ 6-sigma initiative.
Requirements:
Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferable), Science or Polymer Science
10 years’ experience in leading and executing production or maintenance or Technology department in Plastics industry is preferred
Well versed in the use of quality tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, etc.
Experience in 6 sigma or other related lean projects
Possess capability to lead audits (certified internal auditor or lead assessor).
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Team player with business sense and driven with strong commitment for success
