Jobscope:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of selected 3D printers for new product development which include materials' printability testing, process optimization, customer engagement, etc.
  • Develop and optimize printing post-processing workflow, support structures for VAT photopolymer additive manufacturing.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot 3D printers and related supporting equipment to ensure reliability, safe and quality prints.
  • Co-develop and co-manage company's CAD file database to support printing and processing function. Development of new CAD files to support new product development and product launches through design for additive manufacturing.
  • Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities to support business.
  • Perform analysis and troubleshooting on 3D printers, process, printed parts quality and communicate results and findings to R&D scientists/project manager on a regular basis. Identify potential areas for product and process improvements.
  • Provide training, both internally or externally on the safe use of 3D printers, materials handling and other related equipment.
  • Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
  • Create, develop, and update documents (e.g., standard/safe operating procedures, risk assessments, work instructions and laboratory records) in alignment with site EHSQ protocols.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the Additive Manufacturing field is required.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD/CAM software to design, edit, repair and prepare 3D models (e.g. .STL files) to support printing function (required).
  • Knowledge and experience with various 3D printers and Additive Manufacturing technology (e.g. SLA, DLP, CLIP, etc) and related post-processing equipment and process workflow (required).
  • Basic knowledge of Chemistry and Polymer Science.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, able to work cross-functionally with other functions, strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to work in highly visible, dynamic and fast paced environment are required to be able  to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in working in a chemical laboratory/wet chemistry laboratory without supervision and with good understanding of safety aspect is required. Basic knowledge/understanding of EHSQ with respect to laboratory work is a must.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
