Responsibilities:

·       Cross-functional Business Partnering:

o   Align short-term and mid-term goal with cross-functional team, not limited to Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing Departments.

o   Collaborative and effective communication with all stakeholders.

·       Local Distribution & Goods Transfer Operations:

o   Ensure safety and compliance operations in logistics that meets local regulation.

o   Manage daily operation to achieve 'right products are delivered to the right place, on-time, in-full and good quality, at the most effective cost'.

o   Conduct Monthly Operations review with well-defined KPI to ensure daily operations is managed efficiently and effectively.

o   Drive optimization in local distribution operations which involves routes optimization, fleet utilization, resource planning, fuel/diesel efficiency and fleet downtime.

o   Managing goods transfer operations with end-to-end supply chain value in line all sites/floors, including production output finished goods and continuous supply/deliver packaging and raw materials.

o   Improve resources optimization in Pokka to minimize dependency on subcontractor.

o   Fleet management which includes fleet replacement, COE / road tax / insurance / VPC renewal, fleet condition, maintenance items / costs, workshop vendor and inspection scheduling.

o   Prepare reports to provide operations performance visibility, identify risk / opportunity and mitigation plan.

o   Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.

·       Cross Border Management:

o   Ensure safety and compliance operations in all warehouse sites that meets local regulation.

o   Collaborate with Production, Warehouse and Truckers to ensure smooth transfer of products without effecting or delaying order fulfilment to the customers.

o   Conduct Monthly Operations with Production, Warehouse and Truckers review with well-defined KPI to ensure daily operations is managed efficiently and effectively.

o   Prepare reports to provide operations performance visibility, identify risk / opportunity and mitigation plan.

·       Import & Export Management:

o   Responsible for Import and Export activities, includes transition of task.

o   Lead advance planning on export container loading with International Sales Administrative Team that optimize warehouse capacity and minimize congestion or overtime in the warehouse.

o   Ensure all Import & Export documents is prepared on-time that meets respective local regulation for Estimated Time of Delivery/Estimated Time of Arrival.

o   Ensure importation turn-around time meets to minimize demurrage charge.

o   Coordinate with Warehouse Team for container loading and release schedule.

o   Liaise with freight forwarding agent for container boking and arrange for products pick-up upon confirmation.

o   Prepare reports to provide operations performance visibility, identify risk / opportunity and mitigation plan.

·       Cost Management:

o   Monitor logistics and shipping expenses, reviews to ensure budget does not exceed, develop and implement programs for optimal warehouse utilization, material handling equipment cost, and labor and packaging material costs.

o   Analyse and monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance.

o   Drive cost savings or cost avoidance initiatives together with Operational Excellence & Projects Manager.

o   Vendor management, including review and assessment of vendor's compliance & qualification, contract negotiation, appraisal of vendor's performance, budget management, and reporting.

o   Accountable on accuracy of pallet location across sites including customer location, ensure full compliance on pallet management process and continuously improving process to minimize pallet lost exposure.

·       Initiatives / Projects:

o   Partnering with Operational Excellence & Projects Manager to lead and implement departmental projects deployment with minimal operations disruption post go-live, not limited to PLH, TMS, WMS, WMS/EBS interface. Ensure right solutions / processes build to support operationally.

o   Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

o   Develop Continuous Improvement / Operations Excellence function to continuously improve operations with clear KPIs and deliver synergies.

·       People Management:

o   Oversees department personnel needs including selecting, coaching, disciplining and training employees, and evaluating employee performance.

o   Consistently review the Staff Training Matrix and Staff Training Record to ensure all the staff are trained, and the records are properly kept.

o   Works with functional groups to resolve employee relations and labour relations issues.

 

Requirements:

·       Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.

·       Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in warehouse and logistics

·       Strong analytical ability and sensitive to numbers, figures and times.

·       Strong communication skill, able to converse in Mandarin or Bahasa Melayu to communicate with the Warehouse employees.

·       Experience in ERP System (e.g. WMS, TMS, Oracle and Logistic Module).

·       Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Visio.

·       Self-driven, highly motivated, passionate to solve and fix problems, dare to lead to change with mastery.

·       Demonstrate analytical, interpersonal and people skills. Attention to detail, he/she must be mindful of even the little details of an assignment.

·       Good business acument to optimize supply chain value-chain to deliver business goals

·       Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and ability to work optimally in a diverse environment.
