Our client is an established Shipping MNC. Currently, they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as " Assistant Manager (Global Agencies Management)”.

This role will primarily be tasked with the following responsibilities :

• Drive the performance of the local agencies through established KPIs, local revenue enhancement & productivity/cost effectiveness
• Coordinate with various Business Units/stakeholders in Principal office to assess, review and implement actions to elevate the performance of your portfolio of countries
• Work closely with stakeholders for timely resolution to problems/issues and to establish preventive measures/procedures
• Set annual budgets 
• Work closely with Agency Finance Controller on Financial matters of the Entities within your portfolio, to review the financial performance, including operating expenses, cash matter, dividend declaration, cost plus implementation, versus approved budgets.
• Carry out transformation initiatives/projects aligned with HQ directives, contribute to strategic planning discussion and projects to drive continuous efficiency improvements of the agencies
• To provide research, financial and analytical support to drive business decisions and strategic initiatives, including evaluation of investment opportunities, business proposals, obtaining relevant corporate approvals, and eventually the review and execution of key agreements and other legal/corporate documents. Assist in end-to-end project execution and work with various internal/external stakeholders to realize the project in totality.
• To manage relationship and communications with local Partners on corporate matters and ensuring good corporate governance of the Entities within your portfolio, in close coordination with Corporate Entity Management team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field with min 8 years of relevant shipping experience.
• Numerically inclined, analytical thinking& quantitative skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) & people management skill.
• Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership.
• Proactive and possess strong leadership & managerial skills.
