Responisibilities

• Follow up on new inquiries, understand requirements, communicate clearly to suppliers, shipping services, customers and internal team member to execute the sales transaction.
• Understand the concepts of commodities trade finance, market conditions, influences of economic, global impact on trade flows, petrochemical complex within NEA, SEA and rest of world.
• Logistics coordination, credit line monitoring, follow up on internal and external request.
• Sales & Marketing / Trading function for commodities assigned.
• Understand the market dynamics and influences of Petrochemical industry.
• Work closely and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sense of ownership, work well independently and within a team in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Conduct and execute business transactions that are aligned with the company’s strategy, risk management and guidelines.

People Management

• Work with team members to ensure clear flow of information and communication.
• Communicating with both managers and shipping coordinators. Also required to closely communicate with Tokyo HQ, BKK, Shanghai, Australia, Mumbai office.

Geographical Scope

• Asia Pacific / North East Asia / Europe / India.
• Direct Customers – India / Malaysia / Singapore.
• Indirect Customers – Internal branch offices, EU / Thailand / Vietnam / Australia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Business with focus on Commodities.
• Keen interest and knowledge on Chemical or Commodities markets.
• Able to adapt to fast paced work processes and communications.
• Results driven with keen awareness of time sensitive nature of the business.
• Business discussions, communications and cover operations reasonably beyond office hours due to time zone differences.
• Good communication skills, able to engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Minimum 2-3 Years of trading experience (familiar with credit line, in-co terms, etc).
• Experienced in working within matrix organizational structure, preferred.
