Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the business operations through review of contracts covering a variety of areas, and across South-East Asia.
- Provide compliance support to the business operations throughout South-East Asia, by preparing compliance policies and compliance training materials, to raise awareness of various compliance areas.
- Assist in advising the management and other internal stakeholders from the legal and compliance perspective on a wide variety of operational issues, contract-related matters, and compliance matters throughout South-East Asia.
- Review of contracts/documentation relating to supply chain management from a legal and compliance perspective.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law (NUS or SMU) and qualified to practice law in Singapore (admitted to the Singapore bar)
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience working for a Singapore law firm.
- Experience in general corporate law would be ideal, but candidates with experience in other relevant areas of law would be considered, including litigation and/or restructuring and insolvency.
- Good understanding of corporate law and contract law, while at the same time able to provide commercially-sound advice.
- Strong communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous, organized, and resourceful team player.
- Highly motivated individual who works independently with little supervision.
