Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct structured operational and financial internal control reviews targeted at control design, operating effectiveness of controls, and operational inefficiencies and work with stakeholders to develop mitigating measures.
• Work with internal stakeholders to plan and implement Control Self-Assessment (CSA) exercises to assess the effectiveness of risk management and control processes.
• Develop, plan and conduct controls self-assessment validation to identify control deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. 
• Assist in operational implementation of new CSA system and conducting CSA system training to stakeholders involved in CSA exercises.
• Track and follow up on all audit issues to ensure that actions required are completed. Carry out reviews for assurance that actions taken to address audit issues are appropriate and effective to address issues raised. 
• Conduct ad-hoc assurance review works. 
• Present and report key findings, highlight risks or control issues and recommend practical solutions to management.
• Provide advisory on risk and controls matters to internal stakeholders.
• Provide secretarial support for Risk Management Committee meetings. 
• Develop and facilitate initiatives to promote a positive risk management and internal control culture. 
• Share audit learnings to eradicate recurrence of similar risks.
• Support any Enterprise Risk Management initiatives within the department
• Any other duties assigned by Reporting Officer

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy or relevant qualifications
• At least 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience in internal audit, internal control review or compliance role preferably in hospital and healthcare industry
• Knowledge of internal auditing techniques & standards, data analytics audit tools (eg. IDEA) and SAP software preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
